Texas, WB studio tour, a taste of sausage, Amterdam and Grand Canyon West

In this final episode for 2013, we feature a wide range of world destinations. Geoff Harrison learns about the city of Austin from Texas Tourism boss Brad Smith. Later in the show he visits Prinsengracht 969, a B&B located in a building dating back to the 1600s in central Amsterdam, Netherlands. Travelbites Radio host David Gordon presents two interviews he recorded at the recent World Travel Market. The first highlights the Warner Bros studio tour in London and the second tells listeners all they need to know about Grand Canyon West (US). Our regular European-based contributor Frances Beasley explains all the different types of German sausage...a very tasty segment to see out this year.
We will take a two week break and return with a new series of Travelradio Australia early in January. We wish all listeners and supporters a happy holiday break!

Top 50 cities in the world

What are the top 50 cities in the world? Tripadvisor.com has recently released a list based on its readers' votes and on this week's ATW Travelradio Australia podcast I list and discuss the poll results. Also on the show Michael Cervin reports on his visit to Fredericksburg, Texas, an interesting German heritage town in the hill country which I also had the pleasure of spending a few nights in some years ago. Our European reporter Frances Beasley travels a 'long and winding road'. US author Rachel Friedman chats about her book 'Guide to Getting Lost' (I don't need a guidebook for that, I'm quite good at it without help!)

River cruising in Europe, British pubs and San Antonio

In the latest edition of ATW Travelradio Australia John Crook learns about the delights of river cruising in Europe from an expert on the topic, Susan Haberley. European correspondent Frances Beasley has tales of unusual British pubs. From the US studio, Arthur von Wiesenberger crosses live to Michael Cervin who is visiting beautiful San Antonio, Texas (home of The Alamo).I have very fond memories of visiting the latter city on a media trip some eight years ago. A stand-out was enjoying dinner in the grounds of The Alamo, on a freezing cold night! Listen to the podcast by clicking the following link: ATW Travelradio Australia 19-2010
