Final show for 2012: Bern, Edinburgh and Malaysia

In our final edition for 2012, we revisit some of the best reports featured in the past year.
Our team of Frances Beasley, David Gordon and John Crook along with host/producer Ren Zwiers place the spotlight on Bern, Switzerland; Edinburgh, Scotland and the Asian nation of Malaysia.
Early in 2013 we will bring back Travelradio Australia with brand new reports on destinations and events throughout the world, as seen by our reporters and their interviewees and, of course, all the latest travel news from Australia.
Until then, we wish all our listeners and supporters a happy festive season and a fantastic new year!

VIDEO: Road trip in Albania

.

Take a road trip from the Albanian capital city, Tirana along the treacherous road through mountaineous country towards the country's north east. We undertook this return trip taking some five hours each way to visit my son-in-law's parents on their humble farm, approximately 15km from the Kosovo border in mid 2006. This road will be replaced by a new highway in a few years time, so the drive should then be much shorter and far easier.
