Welcome to my new site

They say travel broadens the mind - so mine should be exploding outside my head after spending the last couple of decades travelling here, there and everywhere in the quest to find that perfect holiday destination.
For two decades I have been editor of the biggest independent newspaper in Brisbane, Australia and during that period have had the opportunity to visit many interesting places as part of my job of filling regular travel feature pages.
For the past six years I have also hosted and produced a travel radio show titled 'Around the World' (in association with a California based program carrying the same name). The show has been carried by radio stations in the CRN network throughout Australia for this period and, sometimes, I have also been called upon to contribute segments to the US-based show.
Several months ago we commenced podcasting the Australian radio show on the internet (check out the link above). Every week the new show is posted on this site as soon as it has been broadcast on the radio network.
In this 'blogspot', I will attempt to keep readers up to date with the latest deals in worldwide travel (mostly from an Australian perspective, of course) and my personal experiences and observations on travel and all related topics.
